Description
The Distillery is a coworking space for Glasgow’s creative community. It’s been designed to suit the evolving working styles of freelancers, start-ups and people who require flexible workspace. There’s a mix of hot desks, fixed desks, break-out areas and meeting rooms.
In 2013 we were contracted to oversee the design of workspace and communications, as well as develop the business model.
On the design and fit-out of the space we worked closely with Glasgow-based designers and makers to create a space that reflects the audience it supports – all of the furniture and fittings are bespoke and fabricated locally.
High tables designed and made by George Thompson Furniture, lights designed by Soizig Carey and framed work commissioned and curated by We Are Panel.
Fixed desks designed, fabricated and installed by George Thompson Furniture
Working table tops by George Thompson Furniture, fabric panels designed by Risotto Studio
Modular tables designed by TAKTAL and fabricated by Glasgow Sculpture Studios
Lights designed by Soizig Carey
Visual identity, printed marketing material and signage throughout the space was designed by Emlyn Firth at A Visual Agency
Poster and postcard campaign developed with Edwin Pickstone.
